🇨🇭 DESTINO: GINEBRA (SUIZA)

by EmmelineJott

I used to work with colleagues who were from the Geneva, Switzerland office. I never knew that the city was the headquarters for the United Nations and Red Cross. On a future visit, I would love to check out the Horloge Fleuri in the Jardin Anglais and the St. Peters Cathedral. They both look beautiful!

We traveled to Switzerland recently but didn’t get a chance to visit Geneva during that trip. Walking along Lake Geneva and seeing the Jet d’eau in person is definitely on my bucket list ….so hopefully will get to visit Geneva during our next Swiss vacay. It’s good to know about the mouettes – do these need to be booked in advance? The Jardin Anglais looks lovely. Thanks for all the details.

Hi Aditi! Thank for your lovely comment! Jet de l’Eau is totally worth it! Very impressive to see lol. Mouettes, you don’t have to book in advance, you can buy tickets next to the ships or if you have a free public transport ticket given by your hotel, you just have to show it to the person driving them.
Lots of love!!

I went to Geneva on my Swiss trip but for a day trip. I loved the UNO headquarters and many famous buildings by UNO. Even the gushing fountain is very enchanting here.

The smallest metropolis in the world, but has countless parks. That sounds amazing! As the headquarter of the UN, I imagine how many languages speaking when you walk in the city. Does the Jet d’eau shoots water non-stop every day?

Hi Umiko!
It’s a very interesting city! They speak french, german and english. Yes, Jet d’eau shoots water everyday nonstop. Sometimes if the weather is too windy, they would stop it for safety reasons, but usualy is working 24/7
Lots of love!!

Hi Anna! Thanks! I am thinking of creating content in both languages, but sometimes is hard to transmit all if it’s not my mother language. But I will try to do it in my next posts!
Lots of love!!
